Not All Heroes Wear Capes is a piece that blends the delicate beauty and courageous power of unassuming heroes everywhere.
The grand introduction gives way to the first statement of the main melody in the woodwinds before gaining power as the brass takes it over. Interweaving inner parts create motion and energy during the bridge as the piece climbs to its first summit before a noble restatement of the melody in the clarinets and trumpets. Brass provides a solid foundation for the second climb to the piece's final climax. An echo of melody and introduction brings the piece to its final resting place as the drifts away into the sunset.
